NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD and a Libretto

Entry for Libretto users…. So I wanted to upgrade the graphics drivers on a Toshiba Libretto 100CT running Windows 98SE. Not a huge jump, from 4.10 to 4.11 version, but an upgrade.

So why am I writing this entry? It’s all about screen resolutions. The libretto screen resolution I was using previously was a 800×480, but the drivers which were intended for another laptop, offered a 800×600 as the closest choice. This wasn’t suitable and the resolution below left a gap either side, not using the full screen.

The solution was to edit the inf file (included with the other driver files) before I installed the driver and find where the screen resolutions were listed. I added an new entry in the same style as formatting as the others and installed the driver.

Obviously you do this at your own risk and if anyone knows of an even newer version of the driver, please leave a comment.
