How to make homemade Potato Wedges!

Potato wedges are cheap enough to buy in the freezer section of a supermarket, but making your own can not only have less ingredients, but also they taste darn good and better! This blog post tells you how to make homemade potato wedges.

Going to the effort can also show others you care. Plus it is a great way to use up those spare potatoes you have lying around. Both my girlfriend and I make homemade potato wedges and it only takes five minutes preparation time.

What you need
– Potatoes!
– Olive oil or Rice Bran Oil
– Seasoning (optional)

Step 1 – Clean the potatoes, then chop into chunky segments (leave potato skins on). Place in a large bowl and pour in some olive oil or rice bran oil, You could add herbs, garlic or just leave as is. Mix well.

Step 2 – Place on a baking tray and cook in the oven for 30 – 45 minutes on gas mark 6 (200 degrees celsius) until cooked. It is probably best you space the potato wedges out a bit on the tray before cooking them.

Great served with a homemade dip or favourite sauce and salads are a great accompaniment. I also enjoy eating them with vegetable kebabs as well, and you can find out how to make vegetable kebabs on this blog as well!

  3. I’m a teacher and I made 50 potato wedges and mini burgers for my students and they kept coming back for more 🙂 Here’s a little tip, to surprise people add little mini burgers with a small serving of salad … Always have a dip, just in case. Enjoy!
