Weekend Rambles

I thought I would ramble on about a few bits n’ bobs from the weekend.

The cooked breakfast

I’ve blogged before about how most weekends I enjoy a British cooked breakfast. This weekend was no different, with mushrooms, fried new potatoes, beans, grilled tomatoes and toast. Which is always accompanied by either tea or filtered coffee.

Six Nations Rugby

I’m going to be a bad sport, and say it was a ‘good’ weekend of rugby, but not a ‘great’ weekend. I will freely admit I’m gutted England didn’t win the tournament, but Wales did impress, and I can’t wait for next year’s tournament, especially with Italy playing so well this year.

Hot cross buns

I’ve always loved hot cross buns, and you don’t need to wait to Easter to enjoy these delicious treats! Best served grilled with butter and jam, but alas we didn’t have any jam in, but still enjoyed these ‘curranty’ spiced delights.

The second display!

My main computer is a Dell D620 laptop these days, but I’ve been struggling with the one display. So yesterday I connected an old Samsung flat screen monitor to extend my desktop. The second monitor display was bleeding, but when I replaced the VGA cable, not only did the bleeding disappear, the resolution was also increased.

Photo scanning.

My father emailed me a bundle more family photos which he has kindly scanned in. As many of you know, I’m a bookworm. So what a shocker, a photo was included that showed me reading.

Until next time.
